• What about the pricing?​
  Almost universally the ticket pricing I mentioned (below) was good. Some said ticket prices were actually too low for what was being offered. However, almost everyone also said the hotel-room-overnight experiences were too expensive. Yes, they were set at expensive rates on purpose to get the majority of the venue cost covered by the rental of the rooms so the daily ticket prices could be lowered. The venue costs $15,000 for the 3-nights. Add 3-days/nights of feeding everyone with catered food and drinks. So, yeah, it's expensive. That's kind of why I wanted to ask all of you if I should do this because it would be a hell of an expense. I've taken massive risks before and suffered for it over-estimating what the Philadephia kink community would participate in. So when I started feeling quite giddy at the thought of this party being successful, I had to reach out for a reality-check.
  I got a portion of people concerned over the cost and what it would do to me if the party didn't succeed. I hear your concerns and I do care that you all care about me/us and our abilities to move on. It's a legit concern. The rooms attached to this venue create a miniature hotel-takeover, which is so unique about this space. I only had one person say that they would get a room right now if offered, which would not be enough. I would NEED to sell the rooms to afford the party. Whether that's individuals, couples, or groups that wanted to have room space and freedom to use the dungeon all night, those would have to be filled to balance the party expenses.

  Thank you everyone! From your answers, it seems that everyone is confident that I could turn this into a memorable and kinky experience for everyone. And Ho-Boy would I ever! I was actually planning on using large scale projections in order to create an even BETTER visual environment than ever before. From Valentine's decor that I spend all year making to recreating a gothic church inside that decommissioned church space. It would be a sight to behold.

FINAL RESULTS: The Party is too Ambitious

While the idea is good, and a fantastic opportunity for cheap weddings and commitment ceremonies during the 3-day weekend, it didn't seem like people were into the idea of the rooms. Adding teachers in the rooms during the day, creating a convention-like educational experience wasn't enough. There was a desire to have weekend passes for the party. BUT - if you split the total cost of the party amongst fewer people, those weekend passes would be Very Expensive. Daily passes for the Afternoon and Evening parties combined were fine suggestions and I had something worked up for that already. I designed this party so people would only want to come to one day of it, so I can get more people in throughout the weekend and be able to set the ticket prices as low as possible.

There is an option for me to use the space for the 3 days but without the rental of the bedrooms included. But then what I have is a gorgeous church space, a kitchen, and catering for 2/3rds the cost. Still quite a lot and at that point, I could find a cheaper venue if I just need a single open room.

This idea I'll put on the back burner amongst my other ideas that people just aren't into enough for me to pursue. Valentine's 2025 and 2026 would be the best timings for a party like this. I thought about Kickstarting the party to sell the rooms and daily passes, but not sure if that would even go well either. If the community doesn't want me to do it, I won't.

I'm working on a party so big that I'm questioning my sanity.

VALENTINE'S WEEKEND 2025 - Do you think we could pull off an event of this scale?

Imagine having a party here:

The venue is a decommissioned church with vaulted ceilings and stained glass located in the heart of Philadelphia. It's been converted into a modern wedding venue with EIGHT HOTEL-LIKE ROOMS. Valentine's weekend would feature nightly parties, afternoon education & demos, and the lucky few who book one of the rooms get an overnight stay at our dungeon with a Bed & Breakfast style morning meal.

For us to rent it for a three-night booking - Friday, February 14th through Mon, Feb 17th - It'll be super expensive to rent. PLUS, because this is typically a wedding venue, we would need to hire their caterers. Again - VERY EXPENSIVE. But, the timing is perfect! The Valentine's Weekend has a federal holiday on the Monday that follows it. The entire weekend will feel like an extended holiday. Can we splurge on some luxury and come together for a party at an absolute bonkers scale?

WOW - THINK OF WHAT WE COULD DO!!

A dungeon decorated for the Valentine's Holiday in a place as grand as can be. This would certainly be Elegantly Kinky. Think of the possibilities for the community to come together in a truly special way in an event that celebrates love in the biggest way we know how.

• Eight beautifully appointed rooms surrounding the dungeon space
• Chef-made breakfast for overnight guests
• Decorations and lighting for each party theme
• Fully catered weekend of events
• Misc entertainment during the events
• ALSO - Potential for kink weddings, collaring ceremonies, and commitment ceremonies during the weekend event. If anyone wants to have their special event at our event, we'd be totally into it!

Am I crazy for thinking that we could actually have the most fantastic event here?

Providing food and drink for a three day event won't be cheap, but it'll make the event OVER-THE-TOP.

Here's what we've got in mind:

• Romantic Valentine's Night party on Friday, Feb 14th
• Vampire Valentine's themed evening party on Sat, Feb 15th
• Garden of Earthly Pleasures (floral decor) evening party on Sunday, Feb 16th
• Saturday & Sunday afternoon education events with Classes and a casual play party
• SEVEN rooms each night available for overnight accommodations

We want to keep the prices as low as possible. But in order to do that we need to understand how many people would want to attend. The more people want to go, the cheaper we can afford to offer the tickets and the rooms. An expense THIS HUGE can only be done if the whole community wants to have the event. We'll reach out to event organizers and community leaders if this actually happens. An event of this scale is something that everyone should be able to enjoy. We're about 80% of negotiations with the venue, so before we commit, let us know if you'd be interested in attending the party if we created the magic. If we build it, would you come?

Here's what we're thinking Pricing-wise if there is sufficient community support:

Afternoon educational classes and casual play party $40

Evening themed parties $60

Overnight rooms for $400-600 a night
